Elements in group 17th will hav larger atomic radius than elements in group 18th because as we go to rightmost group i.e from left to right group the nuclear power of the atom keeps on increasing which results in the higher force of attraction between the nucleus and the electron in the outermost shell.

Thou the number of shell of elements in group 17 and groupe 18 as per their respective periods will be same but they will differ in their nuclear charge which makes size of atoms of group 17 larger than group 18
