Taproot grows from the radical, and it is the primary root of the plant. This root grows out lateral roots.
The roots penetrate straight deep in the soil to get minerals and water whereas fibrous roots are clustered slender roots arising from the base and spreading sideways.
These roots have root hairs on them. Plants with taproots can’t be pulled up easily, but with fibrous root it is possible.
