Answer:

FORMULA  \:  \: for \: time \: period

t = 2\pi  \sqrt{ \frac{l}{g} }

Time period lf pendulum of length 2m

t1 = 2\pi \sqrt{ \frac{2}{g} }

Time period lf pendulum of length 8m

t1 = 2\pi \sqrt{ \frac{8}{g} }  \rightrightarrows \: 4\pi \sqrt{ \frac{2}{g} }

Comparison

Time period of first pendulum (length 2m) is half of time period of secomd pendulum (length 8m)

Additional information

  • PENDULUM 1 (L=2M) WILL TAKE LESS TIME THAN PENDULUM 2 IN COMPLETING 1 OSSCILATION

  • PENDULUM OF LENGTH 1M TAKES 2 SECODNDS FOR one oscillation

  • Time period is independent of mass of pendulum
