Answer:

Around 7 century when King Harshavardhana, originally the king of Thanesar, in Northern Haryana and Punjab ruled northern India with Hissar, Haryana as it's capital. Differences-There were many villages looked after the village. But now villages are governed by elected Sarpanches. who are elected for a term of five years only. In 7 the century BCE, village Headmen known as Gram Bhojakas were responsible for collecting revenue from the villagers and supplying them to Prantpatis (a area's head). But Now the patwari collects land revenue and supplies it to the district revenue Department i.e to tehsildar. Similarities- The Gram Bhojakas or Villages Headmen met in sabhas (assemblies) to discuss their works. In present time too, Sarpanches meet to discuss their work in Gram Sabha an in Mahapanchayat -General Assemblies of many Sarpanches. Also, in 7th century Gram Bhojakas were responsible for giving justice to people and they called their Gram Sabhas too. In Today's world also Gram Panchayat in which Sarpanch, assisted by five panchs provides justice to villagers.
