Here we need to make the denominator same to compare numbers.

To make denominator same,we'll take LCM of both denominators and then make the denominators equal.

I.e. denominators here are 5 & 7

Therefore,LCM of 5&7 is 35

Therefore,now the fractions are

-7/35 & -5/35

We have now equal denominators,so we can easily compare these fractions.

Here,we observe that the fraction -1/7 is greater than that of -1/5 because in their simplified form written above,-5/35 is greater than that of -7/35.
