The southern women saw a lot of changes mostly in the states of Tennessee that had experienced widespread Union occupation and a significant amount of the wartime emancipation.

The slaves had refused to do some of the work since they had to do most of the work at fields.

The northern women as compared to their counterparts did not experience the tragedies like the southern women.

They were not deprived neither did they experience the war's violence.
