Comparison between mumbai floods of 2005 and 2017

The flood that wreaked havoc in Mumbai on Monday in 2005 happened because it rained for 2 days incessantly whereas, the rain in 2017 created greater havoc within 12 hours of rain.  Both the year faced heavy loss of lives.  Civic authorities were slack.  People helped each other.  2005 didn’t have facebook. So, they were dependent on blogging.  Somehow, the public were able to help each other.   

Government didn’t take any measures even after 2005.  So, the havoc that happened in 2017 is man-made.  We still cut trees.  No proper drainage system and people throw the garbage everywhere.they like.
