It is primarily an emotional process forming bonds between the individual and the society, while it includes learning the rules of society and personal relationships it is primarily emotional. Education is the process of gaining knowledge independent of emotional content or relationships. It does include understanding emotional and social ties but is more observation and contemplation.

Socialization is a life long process. In it an individual learn to behave in a certain way that is acceptable to society. It's the learning of social norms, and it start from birth and continues till death. While education is a process in which knowledge, ideas, and skills are transferred to an individual. In education there is curriculum and standardized tests while there is no such things in education.
