Democracy : It is the most popular form of government today. The Term is derived from the Greek word called democratica meaning rule of the people. However, democratic governments today are usually representative democracies. This means that people choose their representatives through elections. These representative are answerable to the people who have elected them. If the government does not function as per expectation, it looses the favour of the people and does not get re-elected. Equality and freedom are one m=of the most important key features of the democracy
Dictatorship: There is a another form of the government called dictatorship. Here is a person or a small group of people rule without the collective approval of the people. Absolute power lies with the dictator and the common people have no say in such government. People have no freedom of expression under this system of governance. Castro in Cuba and Hitler in Germany have been dictators in the past. People revolts over-turned the military dictator ship in Tunisia,Egypt and Libya in early 2011
