compassion for our fellow beings should be an integral part of our existence explain this statement

Compassion means to be sympathetic to others, to be melancholic upon their suffering or misfortune and to have a desire to be helpful to them. Man is a gregarious animal. Human societies can exist, only, if they show compassion towards the other fellow human beings. This emotion helps us understand the sorrows and miseries of the others. As a result, it motivates the others to be out of their sorrowful mindset. In fact, it can be said that that this quality differentiates a man from a beast.
Compassion for our fellow beings should be an integral part of our existence
I absolutely agree to it that compassion for our fellow beings should be an integral part of our existence. Compassion is an urge to feel the pain of someone suffering and a desire to help that person or animal. Compassion is just wonderful; if all people have it, then all the problems in the world will automatically get solved.
Compassion, kindness, generosity, empathy, and fellow feeling are the qualities that have the potential of converting all the problems of mankind into stepping stones to HEAVEN. These are the catalysts man has been searching for ages to solve his never endings riddles of existence. All the sorrows, all the wars, all the poverty, all the unemployment, all the gap between the rich and the poor, all the endangered species, all the diseases exist because of lack of compassion in human hearts.
Wherever and whenever compassion was born in a heart, it transformed the mankind. Jesus had compassion in his heart and he gave the world the message of hope for all mankind. It was his compassion that impelled him to bear the excruciating pain to be a perfect role model of patience, mercy, and perfect human conduct. Lincoln felt compassion for the discriminated colored people and abolished slavery. Louis Pasteur felt compassion for the suffering mankind and dedicated his life to finding cure for rabies. Mother Teresa felt it for the poor and the sick and consecrated her life in alleviating their pain. Similarly, all the great men and women whom we adore as our role models have been compassionate personages. Mahatma Gandhi was inspired by compassion to help his fellow countrymen to come out of the shackles of Colonial injustice.
The sad thing is not everyone practices compassion. It requires real strength of character to practice compassion in our deeds. However one thing is crystal clear, if the mankind is to rise higher to higher levels of gods, it must practice compassion in their thoughts, words, and deeds. Some anonymous writer has beautifully given an inspiring message to be compassionate:
Through this world, alas!
Once and only once I pass;
If a kindness I may show,
If a good deed I may do
To a suffering fellow man,
Let me do it while I can.
No delay, for it is plain
I shall not pass this way again.
