Dear Sir,

Sub: Anti-social elements creating nuisance in my locality

I wish to bring to your notice the unrelenting nuisance of the anti-social elements in my locality. After dusk, it has become virtually impossible for civilised people to venture out alone, leave alone with their families. In case of emergency requirement of medicine, we are not able to even go to the chemist shop. Our children have given up on going for tuition away from the local neighbourhood. Office goers return homes in groups.

The rowdies indulge in having liquor and take drugs in the park or by the roadside. Sometimes they pick up fights among themselves and the resulting chaos becomes unbearable for civilised people to bear. Thefts have become a regular affair.

In view of the above, I'd request you to look into the matter and take suitable steps to alleviate our suffering.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully

Sub:  Increasing Crime Rate in Our Locality and Police Taking No Action.

Sir

I write to your esteemed self to express my deep concern over the increasing crime rate in our locality, Model Town Extension, and the police’s lackadaisical approach to the gravity of the situation. The incidents of thefts, jewellery and purse snatching, mobile snatching, eve-teasing are on the increase. There is an atmosphere of insecurity and fear in the entire locality. No resident dares to go out after the dark.

We the residents of the locality have lodged a written complaint with the local Police Station in which we requested the SHO for permanent patrolling by the cops during the evening. In spite of our repeated complaints, no action has been taken. Now I on behalf of the residents of the locality have decided to bring the attention of the concerned authorities to the problem through the medium of your esteemed newspaper. I am hopeful that you will help us in bringing normalcy to our locality by publishing this letter in your reputed daily.

Yours truly,

Residents of Model Town Extension
