Given:

  • Measure of supplement is 39°more than twice its complement.

To find:

What is the measure of angle?

Solution:

Let the measure of angle be x°

∴ It's Supplement will be = (180 – x)° and Complement will be = (90 – x)°

A/q

(180 – x)° = 2 (90 –x)° + 39°

(180 – x)° = 180° – 2x + 39

180 – x = 219 – 2x

180 – 219 = – 2x + x

– 39 = –x

39° = x

Hence, The measure of angle is x° = 39°
