As I opened my window i saw.............

As I opened the window I saw....a shadow passing out slowly from under the streetlight! I was opening the window so as to let some fresh air from outside. As we live on the 4th floor of our apartment, we can’t see every little detail from there, but this was something to be easily seen.I was alone at our flat as my father was still in the office and my mother in the market; I was left alone because my exams were approaching. It was a Tuesday, about 7o’ clock in the evening. The shadow, or whatever it was had sent a chill through my spine. Quite an eerie feeling, indeed it was! After this I again sat down at my desk and tried to concentrate on my books. After quite a good effort too, when I couldn’t pay attention to my lessons, I decided to investigate as to what it was. I again went to the window to check whether “that” was still loitering about, to my relief it wasn’t; though till now I wasn’t quite satisfied. I pulled on my cardigan and trousers, locked the flat and hurried to my neighbour. She was a girl-Rimpy, our neighbour’s daughter. We are same age. I asked her to come down with me to clear my doubts about the lingering shadow. I could understand from her expressions that she was surprised at my plea. Though at the end, she was ready to come with me. We went down to the street, looking for the ghastly shadow. We had searched about every nook and corner when we at last found her. I was so ashamed!It was a dog, a little black terrier, whom I knew! From that day, Rimpy kept pulling my leg, and it was her right too!

Time Will heal it, The heart ,May be ...

I was sitting on the edge of the window peeping out of it, lost in my thoughts. Secrets surrounded me like the wind, strong enough to push people always...

Suddenly I noticed something that changed my whole life. I saw a little bird struggling to get free from the chain which had tied her and made her helpless. I found the situation quite similar mine. I considered myself in place of that bird and realized that the bird was like a mirror reflecting my own condition - ”chained due to other's wishes”

Day passed and I kept observing the bird's struggle. Both of us had realized the fact that life has numerous ups and downs and it gives us opportunities to start afresh. But it has only one end and it should be decided by us... not by others ! We can make our life according to our wish-all we need is a little courage to give a start. So I decided to set myself free from the chain that had tied me and made me so helpless. After that my struggle started...

The passage of time and repeated trials in vain made me depressed and silenced the bird's chrips also. After rigorous attempts we both stopped trying hard. No! We did not give up...we had just started to struggle in a new way.

Finally one day we both had escaped our case. The bird was free to make her flight in the endless blue sky and I was free to make my dreams come true in this marvellous world. We both are enjoying our life in our own ways and we can give it an end as we desire...

But I had to lose many things during this course and my heart is too tried to fight bac. Still I know -”Time will heal it, the heart , may be...”
