The flowchart is completed as follows:

Factors affecting environment----

Natural factors: Earthquakes, Volcanic eruption, drought and

Man-made factors: Deforestation, Air pollution, Depletion of ozone layer.

Natural factors:

  • Earthquakes can give rise to secondary calamities like landslides. They can even cause disruption in the natural habitats sometimes.
  • Volcanic eruptions can release many gases into the atmosphere. They can either enhance global warming by releasing carbon dioxide or can induce a cooling effect due to sulphur dioxide.
  • Besides causing water shortages, drought also causes disruption in aquatic food chains.

Man-made factors:

  • Deforestation leads to an increase in carbon dioxide, and as a result, global warming takes place.
  • Air pollution leads to many negative effects like acid rain, greenhouse effect, etc.
  • Depletion of ozone layer allows the harmful ultraviolet radiations to penetrate into the atmosphere of the earth.
