Modals
Modal auxiliary verbs represent modality such as moral obligation, possibility, request, command etc. Although they are verbs, they do not represent any action in particular. Moreover it focusses on the the importance/way on how a certain action is done.
Modals do not the usual infinitive and participle forms like other verbs. They usually have a past tense though there are exceptional cases. Some common modals are given below:

Past tense: Might
Used for expressing request.

Past tense: Could
Used for expressing ability. It is also used for requests.
➡ Shall
Past tense: Should (in certain particular cases)
Used for commands and orders. Shall is also used for expressing things that must be done in the future.

Expresses futurity.

Though must does not have a direct past tense, have to is used in sentences denoting past in place of must.
It expresses commands and orders.

Expresses moral obligation.
