I waited for one single day every year because it was the only time I met a girl who used to come personally to me and sell matchsticks and crackers. You might want to know about which day am I writing, it's none other than DEEPAWALI.
She was a little poor girl. She used to sit in the corner of the road and sell matchsticks. As usual she used to get all her matchsticks sold and earn money. But that day it was very surprising, none of her matchsticks were sold. As I used to observe her every day that day I felt very pity for her. It was a cold and chilly night she didn't have her sweater and socks on, so I took her to my house as I spoke to her she started crying for today none of her matchsticks were sold and if her father comes to know about it then he would scold her ver atrociously and she didn't want that to happen. So I took all matchsticks and gave her the amount of money she needed. She was very happy and she went home. How much ever I remember that after some days was Diwali coming up. I was very lazy for buying any crackers for my siblings and me. So I thought I'll buy it afterwards. Diwali came and I thought I'd go today when I went to the market road I saw that all the markets were closed I became very sad. Just then while passing I met the little match girl. She saw me sad so she asked me why I was sad and I told her that I didn't have any crackers for Diwali. Then she took me to the place where she used to sell matches I saw that there were many crackers being sold so I took some I hugged her tight in my arms and gave her money more than she required. Since then every Diwali she is the one who gives me crackers.
Each Diwali I keep waiting for a girl wearing a skirt and a t-shirt, her gorgeous brown hair tied into a perfect ponytail for giving me crackers.
I pray to God that she keeps coming to me forever on this day with or without crackers to meet me as this is the only time that I can meet her.
