Title: The treasured land
Once upon a time, there lived an old farmer with his four sons in the countryside. He was a hardworking man and had a prosperous life. As he approached old age, he was unable to work as hard as before. Unfortunately, all his sons were very lazy and had never gone to the fields. The old man thought of a plan to teach them the value of work. When, one day, he was on his deathbed, he summoned all of them. He told them that a considerable amount of treasure lies buried in his long neglected fields. Then his breath failed and he died. The sons immediately went to the fields and began digging hard to find out the hidden treasure. But they couldn't find anything. Then, the monsoon came. They sowed seeds on the tilled soil. That year, they had a rich harvest. They understood that that was the real treasure.
Moral: Work is life, life is work.
THE ZAMINDAR AND HIS MAGICAL SWORD
In a village, there lived a Zamindar. Once he went to buy a pair of bullocks at a fair and found that he was short of five hundred rupees. So he went to a pawnbroker's shop and asked if he could borrow five hundred rupees. The moneylender replied that unless he pawned something he would not get any money. The Zamindar took out an old rusty sword and said, " I have this sword and nothing else. It is a family heirloom and I am not willing to part with it, however, if you must..." The Zamindar reluctantly handed over the sword and brought the money home. When he came home he heard a loud crash and a boom. That was odd. No one lived in that ancient old house except the Zamindar. He went to the hall and, as if by magic, the sword had appeared right in font of him! He ran to get a cloth to clean part of the sword. The rust looked as if it would never come off, but when he started wiping, he found out that it was just paint! the hilt was made of gold and encrusted with all sorts of gems! The blade, made of diamonds and silver, and whenever he said the sword to conjure something, it made that thing appear in front of him! The first thing the zamindar did was return the money to the moneylender. The second thing the Zamindar did was race to the fair with the sword. He had no need of bullocks now. "Come one come all to see the magical sword of all the lands!" The zamindar was sure that the sword was magical. Soon a curious crowd surrounded the zamindar. He started of with making food appear out of thin air. It was great fun. This went on for a couple of weeks at every fair, and he became the star of the fair. But, the greedy moneylender heard of this and thought that the sword deserved to be his. He set of to steal it. At the dead of night, he crawled up the zamindar house and reached the room where the sword was kept. But, as soon as he touched it, a bang of light threw him against the wall. The zamindar took him to the police and lived happily ever after.
