Answer: Hopefully, it was the right decision. The footprints were all in the same alignment. My father told me not to go over the hedge as it was dangerous. The hedge had been planted to stop nasty creatures from entering our territory. It seemed that the creatures had managed to climb over. I should have told this to father but curiosity got the best of me. I parted the leaves of the hedge to enter the forest. I dusted my jacket after climbing through the hedge. Then, I looked around.

It was beautiful. A child's wonder, really. A dream, perhaps. Tall trunks of pine trees covered the wet, brown ground. Flowers of all kinds, chirps of colourful birds and little critters running around. It was truly a magnificent sight. I walked forwards to a small lake, covered in lotuses. You could see goldfishes and seaweed. A shadow loomed on the other side and I looked up.

A deer! Bent over the lake, quenching its thirst. A truly majestic creature. I hastily pulled out my hunting rifle. This deer could feed my family for weeks. Just as I loaded the gun, someone grabbed me from behind. A man dressed in rags. He looked truly menacing as he grabbed my gun and snapped in two.

"Leave, boy," He snarled my way. "And if you ever come back again, I'll snap you like your weapon."

I nodded and took off. Out of the forest, on the other side of the hedge, back to the safety of my home. And as you can probably guess, I never went over the hedge again.
