Vishakhapatnam Port :- it is the second largest cargo handled port in India and 13th major busy port in India, situated in Andhra Pradesh. The port has marked in the map between midway Chennai and Kolkata ports.

The port was inaugurated by Willingdon (Lord) and it built at the cost of 378 lakhs.

Haldia Port :- it is situated in West Bengal, covers most of the north east India as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and few neighbouring country Bhutan, Nepal and region of Tibet. The port has important imports are chemical, petroleum and some metal parts.

Chennai Port :- It is formerly named as Madras Port and is the second largest container handled port in India. The port started in 1881 and it became major container handled port after India got freedom.

The oldest Artificial Port in India is Kolkata Port. It was built by BEIC (British East India Company) and was the premier port for British India in 19th century.
