Plant is made up of root system and shoot system. Shoot system is further divided into stems, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits.

  • The roots are a plant's most crucial component. Together, they make up a plant's underground root system. They are in charge of securing the plant in the soil.
  • Stem - After the roots, it is the second most crucial component of the plant. It is above the ground and initially green before turning brown as it ages. They are made comprised of leaves, fruits, and flowers and serve to sustain a plant's stalk system.
  • A node is the area where the leaves develop, and an internode is the area between two nodes. They emerge from the plumule and stand upright on the ground.
  • Again, leaves are a crucial component of plants. Chlorophyll, which is in charge of making plant food, can be found there. The meal is cooked using water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight. Petiole, leaf base, and lamina are the other three basic divisions of a leaf.
  • Some plants don't have flowers, though. They are beautiful to gaze at and peaceful. They serve as the plant's reproductive organs. It is made up of four major components: petals, sepals, stamens, and pistil. The bright petals are a feature that draw insects.
  • Fruit production is carried out by flowering plants. After fertilisation, the fully developed ovary transforms into a fruit. They develop into a seed first, then a fruit. Fruits that are parthenocarpic and the process that produces them called parthenocarpy.
  • A branch, also known as a ramus in botany, is a woody structural element that connects to a tree's central stem but is not a part of it. Small branches are referred to as twigs and large branches are referred to as boughs.

Hence, plant is made up of root system and shoot system. Shoot system is further divided into stems, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits.
