(i) On reacting CH$_{3}$-CH$_{2}$-CH$_{2}$-COOH with Br$_{2}$ and P , we get , CH$_{3}$-CH$_{2}$-CH(Br)-COOH .

CH$_{3}$-CH$_{2}$-CH$_{2}$-COOH + Br$_{2}$ + P → CH$_{3}$-CH$_{2}$-CH(Br)-COOH  

(ii) In the next step , reacting the product of (i) reaction with aqueous NH$_{3}$ , we get , CH$_{3}$-CH$_{2}$-CH(NH$_{2}$)-COOH .
