this is an addition series
The difference between adjacent numbers are,
8-3=5
18-8=10
35-18=17
Again the find the difference between the numbers in the series 5,10,17,26
10-5=5
17-10=7
we can see that the series 5,7 are at an equal difference of 2 each, thus next no. in this sequence is 9
add this 9 to 17 obtained above, thus 9+17=26.
add this 26 to 35 in the given question series, 35+26=61.
we can check the remaining by,
61-35=26
98-61=37 from the first series
From the above,26-17=9,37-26=11.
They also are at common difference of 2 each.
The answer sequence is
3,8,18,35,61,98.
