The poor man always sold the golden eggs to people and earned a good profit. Once ge thought that, if he cut the stomach of the hen, then he will sell the all golden eggs collectively and will become a rich person. He became greedy. He cuts the stomach of the hen. But there was nothing.
MORAL: Never be a greedy person.

"A man has a hen which lays a golden egg daily. Initially, the man was very happy but slowly started to think about how the hen could lay a golden egg. So to find out the truth, he sat in hiding next to the hen to observe how the egg was becoming gold or if someone’s doing. Just when the hen laid the egg, he could see his son running fast towards the egg and colouring it golden.

He really could not guess why his son did so. When he asked his son about it, his son explained that since he liked to play with the hen and did not like the idea of his father planning to kill the hen. So if his father gets a golden egg daily, he would not kill it for the sake of the golden egg."
