After hearing the case the judge asked for the purse. He noticed that the purse could contain just a hundred coins. He concluded that the miser was telling lies. He told the miser that the purse was not his because it was not able to contain more than a hundred gold coins. Finally the purse was presented to the farmer. The greedy and dishonest miser came to grief and went away.
