I wanted to reach out but I could not. The last thing I remember was a feeling on numbness on my whole body.
I woke up in the hospital. My hand was hooked up to an IV drip. A nurse was checking my vitals. I could barely move my limbs. my whole body was in pain. The nurse started talking to the doctor in hushed tones.
The doctor was nodding silently. He then walked out and came back with my mother. She was sullen looking and her face had eye bags. She came over held my hand and assured me that things would be okay.

Everything seemed to go blur in front of me and then it was totally black. I remember only that much. When I opened my eyes I found myself under bright spot lights.
I looked searchingly but was greeted by the masked faces of I presume Doctors. I again lost consciousness.
When I regained consciousness I found my family hurdled around my bed in a hospital ward. My mother was overwhelmed to see me open my eyes. My elder brother narrated an amusing incident which sounded more of a story than a real life incident.
The exams being over and the vacations stepping in my mother had packed me a food basket and allowed me to go trekking all by myself. After having trekked for more than an hour I felt terribly hungry.
I opened the food basket and found my favourite paneer chappati roles. Mother had garnished them with sesame which she had never done before.
The sesame seeds gave a wonderful flavour and crispness to the rolls and I munched them greedily.
I again resumed my journey when suddenly I felt the acute pain. That much I related. My brother took on from there.
He said I had fallen and rolled down to the foot hill unconscious. At the foot hill a stray dog who I often met while trekking sniffed by. Seeing me lying it started barking to alert passersby seeking for help.
A neighbour was passing by and heard the dog . As soon as he saw me on the ground he immediately called an ambulance and informed my family.
In the hospital they diagnosed me with a cardiac arrest caused by the sesame seeds. Apparently I was strongly allergic to them, which none of us knew, and had blocked my oxygen supply.
If the dog and my neighbour hadn't assisted me on time I would be dwelling in the world below. I was granted life anew by these two Guardian Angels of mine.
