I fell asleep one night to dreams of exploring the universe. Suddenly I heard a movement in my room ,followed by a flash of light. As I tried to focus on the figure behind the light, I found a boy from some other planet; he looked so different! His body was entire of blue color which was softly aglow! He had big green liquid eyes with no eyebrows. He was somewhat shorter than me. I was exceedingly amazed. He said in a muffled tone, “I have come from Andromeda to take you there. Our planet is holding a special celebrations programme for the children of the universe. You are one of the participants. You have to come with me right now.”
I was quite excited! I had always yearned to go deep into the space. However I replied, “Let me wake up my parents and take their permission first; they would be worried at my sudden disappearance!”
“Don’t worry! Here keep this device near the TV; it will automatically transmit a video message informing them with visuals about your space odyssey. Now just dress up; the space craft is waiting on the roof”, saying this he handed me the device that I kept near the TV. He bade me follow him up to the space craft standing ready to take the alien boy and me deep into the space.
From the space craft window I could see my home becoming smaller and smaller. At that time I felt I did not actually want to leave my home, parents, and planet earth. I shouted loudly to return the space craft to my home. Before I could see what happened next, I awoke with a start and found my parents standing by my bed. Then I realized I was having a nightmare!
The flash grew brighter and brighter that I was forced to wake up. Imagine my shock when I came face to face with an alien. For a minute, I was scared and about to scream. Then I realized that I could use the alien’s help to fulfill the dream I had of exploring the universe in real life. I asked the alien who he was and how he had landed into my room. It told me that it was the dream angel and he slid into my room through the slightly open window. He went on to add that his name was Dream and that he had been sent by the ruler of Alien Land to check out on people who were dreaming and help a few of them in making their dreams come true. Today, he was asked to take a tour to the houses in our residential colony. This sounded interesting and I told the alien how I was dreaming of exploring the universe. The alien laughed loudly and said that it was a very simple dream that he could fulfill easily.
Dream then asked me to come with him to explore the universe. I told him that my parents would be worried if I left without telling them. Dream assured me that he would bring me back by day break. So, both of us got on to his UFO and he pressed a button. The UFO took off upward with full sleep and very soon we reached a very hot planet. Dream told me that it was hot because that was Mercury, the planet closest to the sun. We then saw Mars and I was surprised at how reddish it appeared. I turned back to ask Dream something and could not find him anywhere. Afraid, I started crying loudly. Suddenly, I heard someone patting me on my shoulder. I turned round to find my mother looking at me. It was then that I realized that the movement in my room followed by the flash and my encounter with the alien was all a part of my dream.
