At a park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on the bench of a playground. She noticed that he was sketching his surroundings on a sheet of paper and was amazed at the beauty of his work. She complimented his work by saying," Wow! You draw really well!". He ignored her and didn't seem at all affected by her words. So, she said it once more, only to be ignored for the second time. In anger, she stormed off and began jogging around the park. The man looked confused and sad as soon as she left. By the time the woman completed her evening run, the man was gone. She walked back to the bench and say his sketch lying there with the words, "I'm sorry if I offended you. I am deaf." written on the sheet. She was heartbroken and deeply disturbed. She went home, learned how to say "I'm sorry" in sign language through the Internet and vowed to apologize the next day. When she went to the park the next day, the man was sitting on the same bench and smiled at her as she moved closer to the bench. She offered him biscuits and meekly apologized using the sign language she had learned the previous day. He was overjoyed. Both of them hence became good friends and the woman vowed, never to judge a person from his demeanour again.
