One day waking on the sand I came across a broken piece of bottle and on searching found the other piece of the bottle nearby with piece of paper in it.

I picked up the piece of paper to read it and found it to be a call of help from a sailor stuck in some remote island.

I informed the police and the sailor was rescued.
