One day I was going to market on the way. I saw a man who seemed a bit familiar to me. But I wasn't able to recognise him. He was tall, fit and probably of 23 - 26. I stood up against him to ask his name and he said in a deep voice, "James..".. I never knew a person named James still it was a curious thing for me to find him familiar. Maybe because of his dress that cloaked him. He wore a robe, with shades of grey and brown and kind of dusty too. I was just going to ask him about his family and all but at the fixed moment he suddenly ran away with no answers.
I was surprised as well as thoughtful for him. What would a 15 year old guy will do anyways?
I just thought about him for a second and a phone call came. It was my Mom and she was shouting at me for being late as I was told to bring some of thee staples from the Market.
I did it hurriedly and ran directly home and I wanted to tell my Mom 'bout that James but I thought its better not to as I never wanted her to worry 'bout me all the time.
I just went up the stairs and in my cleans yet small bedroom. I was kinda sleepy and listening to songs will surely make you do it.
I slept. I had a dream too. That James, he was staring at me, pale faced and with zero expressions. I woke up, covered with sweat and my heart beating with fear. I slowly and surprised, went to my washroom for a shower, had it and began to study for a while.
I had been only few minutes now and I'm already bored....Wait!!..What was that??..It came outta my mouth when I saw that move. That thing, it seemed to follow me. I was scared, really scared. I ran to our church in the locality, met the father and told him everything. And what he said was...insane. He told me that the James I met in the market is his child who used to practice magic and all...this isn't so surprising right?....He said he died few months ago..because of some ritual practice. And people like me, with some kind of force attract him and he will take us away for that ritual. I was shocked.
I couldn't speak even a single word now..just kept walking to my home...scared..staring at him from the window.. waiting for him when he'll act..when he'll take me away..
