There was a cobbler who used to sit under a bayan tree in the market everyday to mend the shoes of the passerby.

His only dream in life was to give decent education to his ttwo children, Arya and Maya, 10 and 6 unlike him, who could not read beyond class IV due to the financial condition of his family.

With the meagre income it was getting difficult for him to continue the education of his children.

But one day a strange incident happened.

When he was busy stitching the shoes of a rich man, he suddenly looked up and found the man is gone and has left a brown packet beside him.

He opened the packet and saw a lump sum there.

But instead of being greedy he immediately took the packet to the nearest police station who congratulated him for his honesty.

He later came to know that the money was stolen from bank and the man was being chased by the police for which he left the money there.

The epolice department gave him a prize money of Rs 50,000 and his children’s education was made free in school seeing their condition.

The cobbler was overjoyed and this story is written to underline the idea that the poor people too have a passion to educate their children.
