The young man seemed to be very helpful. He told us that he would surely help us to find our way out of the forest and also back home. We slowly trudged behind him towards the main road but to our shock we found that the way did not lead out of the forest but to the heart of the thick forest, the dark forest of spirits. As soon as I noticed this, I went forward to ask the young man but realized to my dismay that he had disappeared.

 This was becoming spooky now. We had no option but to go through the Dark forest of Spirits. As soon as we entered, an evil laughter could be heard echoing afar. We started to follow a faint trodden path that was made in between the shrubs. Just then, one of my friends, Jenna slipped and she swore that she had seen the tree move its roots. And then it all started to happen! The trees tried to entangle us in their branches, but before they could we ran as fast as our legs could carry us. Then we saw weird kind of animals, a rabbit with no legs but a snake’s tail, a sleeping dragon with a wolf’s head and a frog with a spider’s legs, it was like a whole different world altogether. It was fascinating to see all of these creatures, but very-very scary at that time. We kept on following the path and finally reached the end of the forest where we saw the young man again appear out of nowhere, like a spirit, he did have a ghostly form. He told us that this had all been a challenge to test us and that we had passed it well. He gave each of us a gemstone to honour our courage
 …and then I woke up, had I been dreaming all this? But then I looked under my pillow and saw the nice shiny gemstone exactly like the one the young man had given me… and thought to myself, ”Maybe not!”

Hey there!

=>> The Benevolent Stranger

The young man seemed to be very helpful. He told us that he could help us to find a way out of the forest and then back to home. He slowly trucked behind him towards the main road but to our shock we were taken towards a camp of hill people. As we moved closer to the camp, we could see a troop of men with their guns on their shoulders smoking under a tree. I could smell danger as I was afraid that we were among a naxalite troop. I felt that rebellion may be dangerous so, I decided to follow the directions of the man. We were comfortably seated in a hut and offered food and water. I felt as if it was the last meal with my family. I ate meagrely with a heavy heart for departing from my family. I was constantly regretting the decision to accept help from the man, when the man told us to move into separate quarters for rest. I refused to move into separate quarters because I did not feel it safe for my family. The man smiled at me and politely arranged for all the beddings in one room. I could not sleep that night as I was worried against an attack during our sleep. Next morning, we were called and I thought it was the time for our execution. I hugged my family tightly and as we came out, I was astonished to see a big truck outside. I was ashamed at my thinking and hugged the man tightly. I could not thank him in words  for the arrangement for our journey.

Hope it helped!☺️
