There was water everywhere, tormented faces waiting for relief, help or assistance made me feel puzzled. I felt a lot of pity on these innocent people suffering for no mistake of theirs. People who were very happy and well to do yesterday are now begging on the road. Asking for something to eat. I am capable of helping them and i am very upset with it. Why does nature's fury destroys several lives completely?????

▪There was water everywhere , tormented faces waiting for relief , help or assistance made me feel puzzled . All thanks to the devastating flood that occurred in our city . It had left people in huge traumatizing situations. Most of them had lost their loved ones as well as property. The electric supply had been cut off completely , there was no scar of food or medicines . People were dying with starvation and diseases .


▪Although I had been taught all about disaster management , my knowledge failed in front of the practical situation i had to face . I was completely puzzled As to how I could help up! Suddenly I remember Mr.Das , member of the "Roshni" NGO That had been helping such people by providing the much needed necessities . he had paid a visit to our school to teach us of disaster management and the need to help others . I quickly contacted him , explained the situation to him about the lack of government help in our area .

▪He reached us within no time , made necessary arrangements though his co workers and provided people with food , medicine, clothing etc . he also wrote to the government on Behalf of the people . He really had proved to be the "Saviour" for all of us ! Now today I am working under him ; although as a student but I have learnt the much needed precautions to be adopted in such critical situations !! It was all because of his sincere efforts that people survived the calamity .




Moral => Helping others is the Greatest service to the Lord .
