Tushar was a very studious as well as kind child. He joined the school football team and won many matches. He became the school star both in academics and now, in sports as well!
One day while practising , the morning before a football tournament, he unfortunately, sprained his knee, ultimately fracturing it. He felt as if his world crumbled in front of his eyes. He lost all hope. As he was looking around trying to get help , to get safely home, he saw a handicapped person stop and come to his aid. The handicapped person called his mother and helped to to get to a bench and rest. Tushar was astonished to see that the person had lost both of his legs. He felt a sudden feeling of sorrow for the person. He asked him “ Has it always been like this for you?” The person said in response “ what? Oh my legs? No. I am a war veteran. I fought the ww2. I lost them”
He asked again , being very inquisitive, “ so don’t you feel bad or unfortunate?”
“ no. Its the circle of life. I think this was bound to happen one way or other. I think if you have the courage and desire, you can conquer the world.” Tushar was filled with zest again due to the words to the kind person. It was as if he found new hope. He obviously could not try this year as he was denied due to his injuries. But he tried the next year and thanks to the kinda words and a lot of practice , he won.
