There are three parts of brain

Forebrain

Midbrain

Hindbrain

Forbrain has cerebrum , thalamus, hypothalamus, olfactory bulb, pitutary gland.

Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain and is located in forebrain and functions : helps in learning, reasoning, emotion, speaking, touch, smell, vision, hearing.

Midbrain has cerebral penduncles, colliculi.

Hindbrain has cerebellum, pons and medulla.

Cerebellum : located at the back of the brain function: helps in coordination and movement.

Medulla is in hindbrain at the end and helps in sending signal from spinal cord to other higher parts of brain
