Actually, I believe that there is a mistake in the question. 

We don't have that many words in English that end with e _ h, so unless it's a some kind of a name I'm saying that there's a mistake in the question. 

My bet for the answer is a phone - we can certainly say that at least some of the more conservative parents are against them, they can be scary to the animals (like any loud electronic device) and it's more than obvious that kids, therefore boys and girls are big fans of them.

At the same time I wanna say that I might be wrong here and the question might be right. I was looking for different opinions, but it seems that nobody has really solved this one.

I think is it a phone. Girls love to use it all the time, and take 'selfies' with it. Boys use it for all the main purposes. Parents always say it isnt good for us. Animals are mostly scared of strange devices. This answer might be wrong, but it's just a guess.
