Sheru's Day Out
Sheru was a mischievous lion cub. When his Mother Sherni would go out hunting she would specifically earn her three cubs to stay in the den. They could either play with each other or go to sleep but never ever stroll out.
Sheru's siblings were innocent and obedient. They followed their mother's orders. But Sheru was the mischief maker. As soon as the other two slept he would stroll out.
He was just a month old but he had seen quite a bit of the jungle. That day he got a little more adventurous and strolled a bit too far heading accidentally to the village.
Once he entered into the village everything seemed like a maze to him. He came across creatures he had never seen before. They screamed and shouted as they saw him and ran helter skelter.
Sheru could not understand who they were and why were they running away from him. The funniest thing was they were running on two limbs not on fours like him. His adventure had wearied him. He was hungry and tired.
He wanted his mother. It was almost midnight. He began yelping. He was lucky that day as his mother was lurking nearby waiting to pounce on a stray cattle.
She heard his cry. Immediately she plunged at him and grabbing him by his neck dragged him home. Poor Sheru what a scolding he got from her.
Since then he has never visited the village again.
