At A Railway Station
Ruhi had been waiting at the station for more than two hours. She had become restless sitting on her briefcase. Then she noticed a child begging at the platform. The child appeared to be 6 or 7 years old. As the child came to Ruhi, and begged for something to eat, Ruhi realized the child was wearing elegant and trendy clothes. Her shoes also were quite clean. Her general appearance indicated she belonged to a family of means.
Ruhi asked the child, ‘What do you want?’ ‘I am hungry’, said the girl. ‘I don’t know where my mother has gone. I have been trying to find her for hours and now I have grown hungry. Kindly give me something to eat.’
Ruhi immediately took out a packet of biscuits from her bag and gave it to the child. Then she took the girl to the lost and found department. There the announcement was made concerning the lost girl. Ruhi’s efforts bore fruit. Listening to the announcement, the child’s mother immediately reached the lost and found department and as soon as she saw she hugged her daughter. She thanked Ruhi for her help.
Meanwhile, the train that Ruhi had been waiting arrived at the station. She boarded the train and feeling happy continued her journey to her home.

Explanation:
It had been more than two hours waiting for the train. Ruhi was getting restless. Suddenly she saw that someone was watching her every move. At first, she did not think much about it. But something about that stare gave her the creeps so she decided to see if her intuition was right. After almost an hour of the wait, she nonchalantly began to look at the direction and saw that the same person was staring at her as if he really wanted to kill her. Feeling a bit scared, she inched closer to those near her and was relieved when the train finally arrived.
Going into her compartment, she momentarily forgot about the guy. She got herself settled, put her things away, and got ready to enjoy the ride when she saw that the same guy had entered her compartment. At first, she did not know what to think or do. So, she just simply accommodated the man and let him get himself settled. Her hopes of enjoying the compartment all by herself were dashed and she now has to share it with not just someone, but the very person she was afraid to be with. She felt weird and uncomfortable with him but there was nothing she could do.
She decided that she will not engage him with any talk So, she read her book and mind her own time. After some hours, the man began to talk to her, asking about her name and why she was traveling alone. Finding that the man was eager to be compliant, she also began to loosen up a bit. Then their talk turned easier and in no time, she felt none of the awkwardness she felt in the beginning. The train ride was a smooth one, and she felt relieved that she hadn't allowed her own judgment to come first.
After a day of their journey, they had reached their destination. On disembarking, Ruhi asked the man why he looked and dressed so dark even when the sun was scorching hot. The man replied that he had been wearing it for ages and was his favorite attire. Not thinking much into it, she was making her way to the exit when she saw that the man got into the train again. Puzzled, she asked the other passengers if they know about her co-passenger. When they denied any knowledge of the said man, she approached the station master about him, out of curiosity. The ticket collector was with the station master and he expressed his surprise when Ruhi told him about her co-passenger. When asked further, he told her that she was the only one in the cabin and there had been no other passenger in her cabin. When she began to elaborate on the appearance of the man, they simply stated that it must have been the guy who had killed himself some years back in the same compartment of the train. And that there were rumors of his ghost roaming and interacting with the passengers of the same cabin.
Leaving the train station, Ruhi felt colder than usual and was so scared to even think that she had stayed one full day in the company of a ghost.
