Answer:
I was walking down the road when I found this small wooden box. I usually take the school bus going home, but not today. We had to finish a Science project after the last period so we stayed there for a couple more hours. Our house is not that far, so I decided to walk.
Anyway, as I was saying, I found this mysterious box lying on the side of the road. Sure enough, curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to pick it up and take it home. I studied the box while I was walking, and unfortunately, I tripped on a rock. I fell onto the pavement and the box flew over the fence of a huge house.
I argued with myself for a while before I finally decided to climb over the fence and fetch the box. Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t normally do this. It’s just that, I had this strong urge to see what’s in the box. So when I came across the fence, I immediately found the box and was about to climb back when two huge dogs came running for me.
Instinctively, I ran as fast as I can and jumped as soon as I reached the fence. As luck would have it, I lost my balance when I landed. I broke my wrist badly and had to look for the box, again.
I found the box under a huge tree, and before I could pick it up, a swarm of bees angrily buzzed above me. I snatched the box right away and ran all the way home.
When I finally reached the safe confines of our home, my Mom bombarded me with hundreds of questions.
“Where have you been?”
“What happened to your wrist?”
“Where did you get that box?”.
Instead of giving her an answer, I smiled at her and excused myself.
I headed to my room and placed the wooden box on top of my desk before I stared at it for a very long time. The box is locked and it has some carvings all over.
Finally, I decided to take it to our garage and look for anything I could use to open it. All I found was a heavy hammer, which means I would have to smash the box. I had no other choice. After all the trouble I’ve been through, I think I've earned the right to do whatever I want to do with this thing.
With my patience running thin, I started to smash the box with all of my might. It took me half an hour before I was finally able to remove the lid and see what’s inside. What I saw made me drop the hammer thoughtlessly as I fell on my knees before the well-protected treasure.
