Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Volume of cuboid = 40 cm × 34 cm × 30 cm

Volume of cuboid = 40800 cm³

Inner dimensions,

Length = 40 - ( 1 + 1 ) cm = 38 cm

Breadth = 34 - ( 1 + 1 ) cm = 32 cm

Height = 30 - ( 1 + 1 ) cm = 28 cm

Volume of cuboid = 38 cm × 32 cm × 28 cm

Volume of cuboid = 34048 cm³

Remaining volume = 40800 - 34048 cm³
