     Swimming is a universal sport adored by many people, children, kids, adults and old all alike.  This event is held at all national and international levels including the olympic games.  There are many types of swimming, like freestyle, butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke etc., depending on the position of the body and movement of hands and legs.

    Swimming also includes many other variants like diving and synchronized swimming.  In diving, the diver climbs atop a diving board at 3 to 10 meters high above the pool and jumps into the pool.  In the air the diver performs somersaults, loops and twists.  In synchronized swimming many swimmers do exhibit many dance postures all alike with a perfect synchronized timing.  Many good swimmers participate in watersports like water polo.

    Swimming is very good for health.  The skin remains smooth.  The body stays lean and streamlined.  The chest of a swimmer also expands due to the stretching of hands and holding of air for short durations.  However, it may be somewhat expensive and the pool may be situated far away from home.

    It is needed to take precautions like protecting the eye and applying any sunscreen cream as needed.  It is better to learn swimming at a young age and enjoy the sport later.  Usually water at a swimming pool is maintained at a decent temperature and hygienic.  Regarding Indian swimmers record in international competition events, they are still way behind the best from Asia and the West.  The world record for 100 m freestyle is about 47 seconds where the Indian record is about 51 seconds.

Answer

Well as swimming is supposed to be one of the best exercise but anything in excess have its consequences. Coming to my point I would like to mention some of things from personal experience that how it impacts our body structure.

\Large\fbox\pink{Butterfly :}

If you do mostly butterfly as a part of workout, its going to be stressful for shoulder muscles. Constant stress on that muscle will end up growing that muscle more than average. So If you would minutely Observe, people who do fly as main stroke generally have Stronger upper body and average lower body.

\Large\fbox\pink{Breast Stroke:}

If you do mostly Breast stroke as a part of workout, its going to be stressful for Hamstrings muscles.Again constant stress on that muscle will end up growing that muscle more than average.So If you would minutely Observe, people who do Breast stroke as main stroke generally have stronger lower body than that of upper body.

\Large\fbox\pink{Incomplete Breathe :}

Swimmers with long workout sessions must have experienced this. As the lungs and respiration system is being trained to breathe in certain rhythm that a swimmer follow in training sessions, they always feels out of breathe after certain breathes.

\Large\fbox\pink{Chlorine Stink :}

As a part of workout sessions a swimmer spent his most of the time in swimming pool water. The pool water mainly consist of chlorine as bleaching agent to keep pool water clean. When you swim for longer hours on routine basis chlorine is absorbed by skin pours and that chlorine stink remain with you. Sometime you may have that stink when you are sweating.

I Hope This Would Help You..
