Dear student,

The first thing that draws our attention in a market place is its noisy atmosphere. The sellers shout their goods at the top of their voice and the buyers quarrel over quality and quantity and price with equal vigor.

The hubbub at a Market Place caused by the bargaining between sellers and buyers is sometimes almost deafening. There are carts and Lorries that bring fish, meat and green vegetables.

There is a striking contrast between the village and city markets. The city markets have permanent stalls classified according to the goods they deal in. The village markets are generally held on an open place. The commodities are kept either in baskets or on the ground. Variety of people congregating together at a common place, present pleasing scenes in our eyes.
