• The atmosphere is a mixture of gases. It contains nitrogen, oxygen and smaller quantities of other gases.
• The amount of nitrogen in the atmosphere is 78% while the amount of oxygen in atmosphere is 21%.
• The other gases such as argon (0.93%),carbon dioxide(0.03%) and neon,helium,krypton,xenon,hydrogen and ozone form 0.04% of the total gases in atmosphere.
