The biggest surprise to me, is how much I'm actually taking interest in my classes, composition in paticular. The first day I walked in here I didn't know if I'd liked it. But after a couple days, I realized I loved it. I love the blog writings the most. It really helps me relieve some of my stress. That poem by "When I am Old" really got to me. It was kind of a reminder that life is to short to be worrying about little petty things. It gave me a little reality check and i noticed that when I wrote the blog for it. Another thing that excites me about this class is how I can already see how much it is helping my writing. Writing is my favorite thing to do when it comes to school. That was a big reason why I took the class. And when I wrote the rough draft for "Writing for College" I noticed how much more I was into the paper and making sure my grammars right. I even read over the paper and looked at the writing for college article to help me out some. I can see how its changing my writing already and that really excites me. I know Tom Flynn said none of us are great writers, but I'm hoping I will be one after this class. It will make the rest of my college a lot easier!
