Watching television is more harmful than helpful
Television has always been a part and parcel of our lives but it has been seen that it does more harm to us as individuals and society than good.
Our TV sets showcase several channels related to education, news, cartoon, daily soaps and drama and many more. It does provide important information and keeps us up to date. However, most of the times, it has a negative impact on the people of the society.
The youth have a tendency to adopt whatever is being shown on TV and hence end up adopting unfair and risky practices. The incidence of crimes has increased and violence has become widespread. This makes us alert but also throws a bad light upon society.
Firstly, children spend most of their time in front of the TV sets thereby hampering their studies. Secondly, this affects their eyesight and also leads to other related disorders. Thirdly, people end up watching violent programs and try to adopt them, thereby leading to more criminal activities in the society.
Overall, it is harming the people at large by making them more insensitive and evil. This has also, in turn, reduced the hospitality that existed among the people in earlier days.
