*Guidelines for Students*:-
- Choose any one of the given pairs and write an interesting dialogue between them.
A. *You Lunch box and Water bottle*
B. *Your Shoes and Socks*
C. *Your School Desk and Chair*
D. *Your Left Hand and Right Hand*
E. *You Bed and Pillow*
b. Begin by closing your eyes.
c. Listen to what the pair is talking about.
d. Listen to all that they say about you.
e. Think of all the irritating habits of yours that they might be talking about.
f. Think about what they think about how you use them or treat them.
g. Also think about all the good things they have to say about you.
h. Maybe, they have an advice or two for you. Listen to it carefully.
i. Enjoy the experience.
j. Open your eyes.
k. Place yourself as one of the items.
l. Initiate a dialogue.
m. Speak to the other item in the chosen pair.
n. Imagine the other item’s response.
o. Keep writing the dialogues as you have imagined in a. - i. above.
p. Make it interesting and add humour.
q. Speak to the other item in the chosen pair and answer yourself.
r. Keep writing in a smooth flow till you are done.
*Guidelines for Teachers*:-
i. Follow all the steps above to make the pre-writing experience a great one.
ii. To infuse more imagination and creativity, choose an open quiet space for the students
to sit with closed eyes
iii. Guide them through the entire process of pre-writing imagination, stated in a. – i
above.
iv. Prepare them initially to calm down their physical self and be aware of their thoughts
only.
v. Allow them time to go into a state of uninterrupted imagination.
vi. Check them postures for any restlessness and calm them down individually and
immediately.
vii. Do not give any suggestions or cues what so ever.
viii. Do not colour students’ thought process with your own views.
ix. Let the students develop their own perspective based on their own free uninhibited
imagination.
x. Give them ample time for the entire process.
xi. Ask student to pen down their imaginations and thoughts vividly.
8. *Cues for DIALOGUE Writing - Grades IX to XII*:
a. Follow all the points given in the guidelines to write a complete dialogue for any of the
chosen pairs from your perspective as per your imagination.
b. Write as many sentences (more than 30) in the form of dialogues.
*Note: Writing more than the given sentence limit or word limit is permissible, but less is not acceptable!*
