Explanation:

A social networking service (also social networking site, or SNS or social media) is an online platform which people use to build social networks or social relationship with other people who share similar personal or career interests, activities, backgrounds or real-life connections.

The social network is distributed across various computer networks. The social networks are inherently computer networks, linking people, organization, and knowledge. Social networking services vary in format and the number of features. They can incorporate a range of new information and communication tools, operating on desktops and on laptops, on mobile devices such as tablet computers and smartphones. They may feature digital photo/video/sharing and "web logging" diary entries online (blogging).[1] Online community services are sometimes considered[by whom?] social-network services by programmers and users, though in a broader sense, a social-network service usually provides an individual-centered service whereas online community services are group-centered. Defined as "websites that facilitate the building of a network of contacts in order to exchange various types of content online," social networking sites provide a space for interaction to continue beyond in person interactions. These computer mediated interactions link members of various networks and may help to both maintain and develop new social ties.[2]

Answer:

Social media is like a double-edged sword, people need to pay more attention to its adverse effects on the life. With thousands of opinions being shared on the social media platforms, one's own judgment and conscience can easily be influenced regardless of their right or wrong consequences. According to recent studies, people have become more violent in their behavior as social media empowers them with a sharp pitched voice.

For example, a little expression of someone's personal opinion engrossed with hatred can spark a rage across the entire community. Also, the fake information has plagued the platforms with their ridiculously hypothetical theories turning the society into a herd of blind sheeps. As Albert Einstein had once said that he is afraid someday technology would surpass the human interaction making it a generation of idiots, social media has played a big role in proving his prophecy true.

Chivalry is almost dead as people resort to trolling when they haven't a valid argument. In a recent survey it is revealed that social media addiction has been embroiled in a third of all divorce filings in UK, one can assume the horridness of social media's impact and interference in personal lives from these awful survey findings.
