Describe your feelings of excitement at before the start of your journey and disappointment after learning the situation that prevailed. This weekend my family and I were all set to visit our grandparents living in Manali but due to the unexpected lock down and fear of the pandemic my parents had to cancel the plan.

I was so disappointed and upset. I was really excited to meet my grandparents and my friends who lived in the same colony. I had also packed my new journal for writing down my grandmother's beautiful stories but all that went in vain. I had planned so much for these holidays but due to the lock down I can't do anything. Mom and Dad were saying that cancelling the trip was good for all because what if we or someone there had the virus? It could spread and make everything worse. I understand but I just wish this virus didn't exist. Now I wonder how am I going to spend this 14 days holiday. Maybe I can video call my grandparents and friends and have fun or maybe we can play something virtually. I would also watch some new series on Netflix as usual and eat popcorn. I would also do some painting and write some songs. But the time I would have spent with my grandparents would have been just so much more fun. Usually what I do these days is study, watch Netflix, do some painting, write some songs and listen to songs. I really hope we can meet our grandparents soon. They live alone and it could be dangerous too. I'll tell mom to go there as soon as lock down is over.

For now I can just stay home and protect myself and others. I really hope this pandemic gets over soon and we can meet our grandparents.
