Answer:

Answer: Cough Syrups are organic compounds and have ethyl alcohol in them. When the cough syrup A which is an organic compound is heated with concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4) and after removal of water carbon dioxide is formed.  The organic compound is Ethanol with formula C2H5OH, and the gas is CO2. It breaks down the hydrogen during the reaction changing the moles of it.
