Solutions -
Ionization reaction is :-
Mx₂→M²⁺ + 2 X⁻
We know that ,
i = 1+ 2α -----------------------(i)
For finding the value of i ,
i =
i = 2.5
∴ i = 1 + 2α (from eq. (i)
2.5 = 1+ 2α
Hence, α = 0.75
or Percentage of Ionization of Mx₂ is 75 %
