Glucose and alcohol contains hydrogen but they can not be categorized as acids because all acids dissociates or ionises on dissolving in water to produce hydronium ions which shows acidic character but hydrogen atom of glucose and alcohol does not give hydronium ions on dissolving in water .So, they can not be classified as acids.

compound like alcohol and glucose are contain hydrogen but are not categorised as acid because

-> take some carbon compound (naphthalence, camphor, alcohol) one by one on a spatula and burn them.

-> observe the nature of the flame and note whether smoke is produced.

-> place metal above the flam.
